Description
Open pollinated seeds from the gorgeous anemone center specimen shown in the pictures. ‘Cherry Blossom’ is a hand pollinated seed strain and thus not all specimens are the same.
The seedlings will not come entirely true but all other possible forms from this parent are enticing!
Germination: Helleborus seeds require first a period of warm/moist stratification followed by a cold period to germinate well. This means sowing during the summer (depending on the location by July-August) in order to germinate in the spring, after a cold period (winter). Seeds sown in late fall/winter will germinate in the second spring (and maybe in lower percentage).
