Description
It is very exciting to be able to collect seeds from this specimen; most often various ‘accidents’ happen, stems chewed off, no seeds…and so on. A solitary specimen with large flowers, white with violet edging & many stamens. The leaves have shorter lobes than other H. acutiloba specimens.
You would have to see it flowering under the spring sun to truly understands its beauty.
Germination:
Hepatica seeds may all germinate in the first spring after sowing; or they may germinate after one more year, or a combination of both. It is necessary to take care of the pots during all this time! The first flowering: after 3-4 years.
