Description
For those who enjoy the ‘wow’ look in the garden, this plant is for you. With large, trumpet-shaped deep pink flowers with yellow throats and a mound of ‘fern-like’ leaves – well, a heavy textured fern, to be more precise, Incarvillea is sure to draw attention.
Not difficult to grow, it only needs a well- drained place to survive (they form fleshy roots); in our climate it seems to grow well in a part-shaded location. Growing a few seedlings and planting them in various locations to test which one fits best, is a good idea for this species.
Germination: easy to germinate at room temperature and the seedlings grow quite fast; in this regard Incarvillea species are satisfying to grow from seeds.
