Description
Iris kookeri has a limited distribution in the Gulf of St. Lawrence region (Canada). In the commerce one usually gets various forms of Iris setosa instead of true I. hookeri, although the flowers are quite particular.
Germination: sow right away during late fall or in the spring after 3 months of cold-moist stratification. Some sources recommend scarification to improve water imbibition but this is not necessary for fall sowing.
