Description
The orange & yellow flowers spikes of the hot pokers always have an exotic look in hot, sunny and well drained areas of the garden, where they will live for many years without any troubles.
The flowers are enjoyed by hummingbirds and many other pollinators. Strap-shaped, evergreen foliage adds to the plant interest (depending on the winter you may have to remove some of the older leaves in the spring).
Germination: the seeds will germinate at room temp. (or outdoors in the spring) after one month of cold/moist stratification (sow in a pot and keep in the fridge, or keep the seeds in a moist towel).
