Description
Lomelosia olgae, a beautiful but not that well known pincushion cousin, has the same type and look of the flowers but different foliage, with gray-green entire lanceolate leaves, felty (pubescent) underneath. It blooms in September-October being a great pollinator plant for early fall!
The flowering stems are decumbent; it may better when cultivated over a stone wall, or in a large rockery flowing down among boulders. Otherwise it can be grown
at the edge of a regular garden bed in full sun or part-shade locations. It requires a well drained substrate.
Germination: warm germinator (room temperature).
