Description
We can call it Noccaea or we can call it Thlaspi; either way this is a morphological variable species which also grows in a variety of habitats, usually in full sun, rocky meadows and grasslands.
A mound of spoon shaped, petiolate leaves and flowering stems with more bluish leaves clasping the stems which elongate and bear inflorescences of purple flowers in this case (they can also be white) – a pretty, early spring flowering species.
Germination: try it first as a warm germinator (room temp.) and if it doesn’t germinate move the pot in a cold place.
