Description
This dwarf poppy is usually an inhabitant of the tundra region; gray-green, setose foliage and delicate white to rose/apricot flowers.
It doesn’t entirely fit the description for P. alboroseum; there is still much work to be done regarding the taxonomy of arctic poppy species. The picture shows it in garden cultivation and the origin of the plant is the Sakhalin region (Far East Russia).
*Similar plants of North American origin (Yukon, Alaska. BC) have been recently described as a different species: http://www.phytoneuron.net/2019Phytoneuron/06PhytoN-PapaverBC.pdf
Germination: warm germinator; like with other poppies, best to try direct sowing in the desired place (rockery, gravelly areas) and thin out afterwards if too many seedlings.
