Description
A beautiful, bright yellow flowered poppy of northern steppe regions, with pinnatisect leaves and pubescent flower petioles. Similar in appearance with Papaver nudicaule. Large yellow, fragrant flowers 3-5 cm in diameter. I like in the rockery in combination with Polygala major.
Cold hardy and with an excellent long blooming period in a well drained, full sun location.
Germination: warm germinator – sow indoors in early spring or outdoors in late spring, the seedlings will handle transplanting well. Direct sowing in the rockery can also be tried in late spring.
