Description
A garden hybrid Pulsatilla which I like a lot because it stands out among all the P. vulgaris forms with its smaller very dark violet flowers.
I assume it is a P. pratensis hybrid, but nothing is sure of course. A tough and reliable Pulsatilla in my rock garden.
Germination: best when sown fresh and the seeds covered only with a very thin layer of grit/vermiculite – keep watch on the moisture level because the seeds can dry out easily when thinly covered. The sowing pot can be enclosed in a loose plastic bag until first the first signs of germination.
