Description
A succulent sub-shrub with small gray-green leaves and bright yellow flowers. Will form loosely tufted mats. Excellent growth in a sunny, well drained location.
Various subspecies have been ‘absorbed’ into the species, reason why the origin of the mother plant I think it is important and provided (syn. S. urvillei ssp. hillebrandtii).
Germination: the seeds are very fine, mix them with a bit of sand and sow directly in the rockery or on a piece of tufa rock/other rocks crevices in early spring. This has worked very well for me.
