Description
A diminutive Snowbell with solitary, reddish-violet fringed flowers, appearing right after the snowmelt at alpine levels.
For moist situations on acidic soils in rockery or troughs. Not easy in cultivation.
Germination: sow in late fall/early winter (cold-moist stratification).
I am also testing to see if the seeds would germinate without cold stratification – to be seen.
