Description
Mistaken for an Aster for quite a while, which is understandably if you see the flowers, this is actually a low-growing Solidago with narrow leaves and white flowers in flat inflorescences during the summer.
Another beautiful but neglected native plant that can be used in borders and wildflower meadows and even in the rockery; it is drought resistant and enjoyed by a wide range of pollinators!
Germination: easy, best sown in the fall; or in very early spring, provide at least 1 month of cold moist stratification.
