Description
For those who have a moist location in their garden and want a tall, native meadow rue, here is the one to grow as a companion for Lilium michiganense, Chelone and various other moisture loving species.
The height may vary a bit depending on the soil moisture/rain amount same like it happens with L, michiganense, but in any case expect a very tall, slender plant with beautiful blue-green foliage and white flowers in fluffy inflorescences in mid-summer. Usually dioecious, although on some plants female and male flowers can be found together.
Germination: I don’t know for sure, so to be cautious, sow in late fall/winter. If it is a warm germinator, it will germinate anyway in the spring.
