Description
I went around a few times about how to describe this offer. T. sessile and T. cuneatum will naturally form hybrids when growing in vicinity, like it happens in my garden. So, I thought to be fair to offer them as such because there cannot be a guarantee to the true species.
All mother-plants have a wonderful marbled foliage and large reddish to maroon flower and make a wonderful addition to any woodland garden.
Germination: sow asap, most Trillium species will germinate after a warm/moist cycle followed by a cold/moist period (winter). Grow the seedlings in the same pot for 2-3 years.
Direct sowing in the garden can also be tried, if you don’t want to take care of pots. I’ve been very successful last year with a true T. sessile form received from a friend. So, you can sow the seeds in a spot in the garden, close to a perennial plant (to be sure you won’t disturb them later); grow them in place and transplant after 3-4 years.
