The name may sound unfamiliar, but this species is actually similar in aspect with a Thymus (one of the syn. is Thymus lucidus).
It has a mounding, a bit loose habit and grows larger than a thyme with small lavender flowers. All plant is very, very aromatic! Always a pleasure to work around it in the rockery. For a full sun, well drained location.

Same like the thymes, it is employed as a medicinal plant in the areas where it grows native. To be cultivated in a full sun location with very good drainage!

Germination: in about 10 days at room temp. (18-21C); fine seeds, sow superficial.
