Description
Carolina lupine is a tall, striking perennial with yellow lupine-like flowers in long racemes in the summer. The foliage is trifoliate and the seed pods have long hairs.
A very good plant to be used as a focal point in the flower border or in combination (I think it would look interesting paired up with Baptisia or tall blue lupins). Adaptable to various garden conditions.
Germination: hot water treatment works well, followed by sowing at room temp.; or sow in late fall outdoors.
