Description
This is the perfect little, late summer flowering Allium to have in the garden. It blooms a couple of weeks before A. thunbergii, in August.
Small clumps with fine, linear leaves and clusters of deep purple flowers – perfect for the rockery, but dislikes a very dry location. I am very happy for receiving this nice species from a gardening friend.
Germination: remains to be seen; it could be a warm germinator like Allium thunbergii but to be on the safe side provide first 3-4 weeks of cold/moist stratification.
