Description
This species is the counterpart of Corydalis solida from the Caucasus region this time. On a superficial look they look the same although the flowers are a bit different. When in doubt have a look at the elaiosomes shape: they are spiraled in Corydalis caucasica and flag-like in Corydalis solida :) The devil is always in details.
A good species to have it in the collection for Corydalis collectors.
Seeds are collected from a population of white and deep red flowered specimens (grown in a different location than C. solida and other species).
Germination and growing the seedlings: explained in detail here – Growing Corydalis solida & allies from seeds.
