Description
The deep purple color is not usually found in Hepatica americana populations, reason why the form has been named ‘Purplelicious’; last year seeds were offered as H. americana-deep purple. The leaves are on the larger size comparing with other forms.
Open pollinated so there is no guarantee that the seedlings will be similar with the mother-plant; they should be labeled H. americana ex. ‘Purplelicious’.
Germination: instructions will be provided with the seeds.
Hepatica seeds may all germinate in the first spring after sowing; or they may germinate after one more year, or a combination of both. It is necessary to take care of the pots during all this time! The first flowering: after 3-4 years.
