Description
A tall Penstemon with bright red, tubular flowers on long spikes; they are loved by hummingbirds of course. Blue-green, thick foliage; the stems can be cut back after flowering.
Flowering in June/July; for a sunny, dry, well drained garden location; edge of the rockery. The mother plant grows in a SW Ontario garden, so seedlings grown from it will exhibit good hardiness.
Germination: sow in the fall/early winter; cold/moist stratification.
