Description
This beautiful Salvia thrived in my rockery to the point of even setting seeds this year. Of course the very hot summer had a saying in this.
Worth growing just for its beautiful silvery foliage alone, the deep violet flowers are an added bonus. For the rockery, with full sun and an extremely well drained spot.
Wet, snowless winters pose the main danger for it; try to save one or two cuttings when possible to have them as a back up if disaster strike.
Germination: warm, slow germinator; sow superficial.
