Description
The Foamflower is an excellent native species to be used as a groundcover (it spreads by stolons) or just as a companion for other native woodlanders like Trillium grandiflorum, Uvularia, Iris cristata and many others.
As a bonus the foliage remains evergreen or almost over the winter and can take a reddish hue in late fall.
A trouble free plant covered in small, but abundant flowers in the spring with a beautiful ‘foamy’ effect. Take the challenge and replace a few Hosta with a native species!
Germination: sow in late fall/winter.
