Description
A subspecies of the North American Viola langsdorfii (Alaska or Aleutian) violet) with exquisite, large, violet flowers with purple veins in early spring; rhizomatous.
For sun to part-shade in wet locations. I am very happy I added this species in the garden.
Germination: cold/moist stratification; sow in late fall/winter.An easy species to grow in a relatively moist location.
