Description
V. macroceras is a calciphile species with large, violet flowers. It was regarded by some as a subspecies of Viola jooi (Transilvanian violet) for a while. When you grow both of them the differences are easily noticed.
An excellent species for the rockery, just like V. jooi; dare I say, even more noticeable due to the silvery sheen of the foliage.
Germination: it can be irregular, sow as soon as you get the seeds and be patient.
